My passion with skin started just over a year ago. I grew up with nearly flawless skin with the acception of a blemish here and there. It wasnt until I turned 20 that my skin decided to turn against me. It started out just on my forehead, but soon began to take over my face. My once beautiful skin quickly turned into a battle zone. I have always had a lot of confidence in my appearance, but this wasnt something I handled easily. After months of researching the natural method of curing this adult on set of acne, I decided to give in and see the dermatologist. He prescribed me a pill called Spironolactone, and suggested I make an appointment for a chemical peel. I was hesitant about the peel, but desperate enough to try it. The peel experience was rough. I was not warned of what was about to take place on my skin in the proceeding days. In the 5 day process, my skin went from bright red, to tight, to brown, to peeling completely off. It was a hard process to go through, but the new skin that was revealed was beginning to look a lot like my old skin. Unfortunately, the results did not stay thanks to my hormone levels and stress level. By this time I had developed depression that got worse and worse as the months went on. My once high self esteem was at its pits, and facing the world got progressively harder. It took me 5 months of literally hiding in my dark room, aside from going to work, for me to realize that I need to not give in to this fear and hide, but to continue on and do whatever I can to get rid of this problem that was not just taking over my face, but my confidence, happiness, and joy of life as well. I began to research for hours a day on what pills, products, methods, food, ect. that people use to keep their skin clear. For 2 months, I turned to a wonderful esthiticion who reccomended a skincare line, as well as monthly facials. Though the facials got too expensive to keep doing, the skin care line, a round of antibiotics from the doctor, and other newly purchased products of mine have been working tremendously! In the last month I have once again begun to see my glowing skin reappear, along with my happiness and confidence!
